Anyway, I hope this was a bit helpful, as are the listings below.
Great if you want to get away from it all for several days and want that wonderful peace and quiet. She shares all about sites that are 'off the grid', BLM land where there are no hook-ups, so no fees. Another site I've read about is Jen Reviews at. If I haven't been able to locate what I want I then drill down using others like Campendium, Good Sam, Google, FMCA, the local State Parks, etc. Once I find the ones I'm interested in, I then go to 2) Campground Reviews. I use this to first lookup potential campgrounds. Looking at a map, I look at the towns/cities in that area and my first choice are two apps that have been my favorite source of reliable information: 1) RV Parky. Once we decide on the area we are going to be in, my husband gives me a general radius to use. First, after camping for almost nine years now and having camped in all the lower 48 states and most of western Canada, I start with my own list and see if we've already been in that location and what I thought.then I go from there. I am often asked how I find and choose the campgrounds we stay at, so I thought I would share my 'stratagies' and preferences here.
